Here's my icecream set handed down to me from my Dear Mother years ago.

It used to be black...I painted it a light grey but wasn't thrilled with it.

I've since re-painted it a pale green.

Now I need to make seat cushions for it.

I already have the two wooden circles cut out and have bought the batting and indoor/outdoor off-white fabric on which I plan to stencil or paint a tropical pattern or design.

What fun!

I really like that green--it will look great with all your plants. I recently replaced the wooden seats and covers on a little white set that I have too. They just need freshened and fixed up every few years, don't they? All those weather temps are hard on things. I know you will enjoy your set. Look forward to seeing your stenciled cushions. Luvs

Oh,that's beautiful! I love that green color :) I'm going to look at some paint colors today,and bring home a few samples. I'll need to look into cushions,too,I made the ones for the wicker from a yard sale quilt and sprayed scotch guard on them. It's working very well,the cat who hangs around walks in the mud then jumps on the cushions,and it brushes right off. Wish I could say the same for the spray I use to keep the cats away :)(they're not my cats!!! I'm a stray magnet!!) I love the way your set has a nice place for a plant or something under the table.

hi! just noticed more to this post! lol... I'll add the pic of my litte greenhouse. And thanks again everyone for the warm wishes:)I plan on mosaicing this,and adding some pretty pieces of a broken chair. These two windows came out of the old railroad depot where I live,someone converted it to a home. We got down in the 'teens weather wise,and my plants on the porch all froze*sigh* I should say my DH built this, he used small L-brackets to connect the two windows. Then measured the bottom to see how big to make the "table" part. It's just a box made of old plywood, I used watered down paint to make it look old,cheap school glue for crackle,and some spindles I bought at a yard sale for legs. And he used hinges to attach the windows to the table for an adjustable fit. I love it! You could buy an end table at a yard sale or thrift store,and add wooden sides,then the windows.

I love your blog also. I saw beige coffee filters at TS yesterday & almost bought them to experiment with leaves but then i didn't as I thought they might not take color right& would look dirty. Any brand of white bleached ones will work I guess. Better check out MS site & get it down as I really love the roses!! What a great idea jeaninWA has to make the handprints up of each child. Great for the xmas tree & then straight into the baby book as a wonderful memory!! I used my kids hands & footprints once for some craft & that was cute-too long ago to remember.LOL Jan

Okay, thanks! I have one son that wants his room his old room color, BM Cumulus Cloud. Unfortunately the granite in his bath is quite a bit more "yellowy" than Cumulus Cloud. Gallo Venizio or something... Hmmm... two shades of greige/beige okay? Just think it would look odd to paint a bath with cherry cabinets and a yellow-toned granite BLUE, but that's what he wants! Oh well...

We have Kilim Beige in our basement. We love it. As I recall, the BM salesperson said that Kilim Beige was their number one selling color.
