Could you explain how to can in jars ??

my freezer is full with tomato sauce that I made this summer, I would like to learn how to properly can into jars. I've read some information about pressure cookers, but never enough details to understand the whole process.

Those of you who have done the whole process (and didn't get sick when you opened the jar !), could you give detailed explanations ? In particular:

- what pressure cooker you use

- what jars do you use, how do you clean them - do you boil them in the pressure cooker ?

- basically everything I have to do when the tomato sauce is cooked. I usually use a big Le Creuset pot, then when it's cooled I put some in the fridge for immediate use, and some in the freezer for the winter.
