more photos on my Teapot 'n Gnome Garden

I added a big white rabbit, and a teacup bird feeder, to my Teapot 'n Gnome Garden. And took several more photos of the area.

Close-up of the teapots my Secret Santa (daisydal) sent me. She KNEW they were perfect for this garden after she saw my first totem!

The white rabbit and teacup birdfeeder are the new additions as of today.

Bigger view of the area. "Secret Garden" sign was made for me last year by a very special friend. There are 5 gnomes lounging around the front corner that are hard to see. And there are another 4, who are busy in the back corner that you can't see. They have several rabbit friends, some ceramic mushrooms, and other items. Photos of them are in this album too, on page 2.

Jeanne, I love the picture you sent of the "I'm late, I'm late, Rabbit" in my previous post. I saved it, may decoupage it on something. I'll have to watch GW for a book to add to my garden, love all the suggestions about that!

Kathy, that sure looks like the same one. every1lovesjoey, down towards the bottom of the blog he says you might see him (the gnome) in the prop house if you've ever seen Sonny with a chance (which I had to google) Apparently it's a show on the Disney channel. Might be able to find out something from the set/prop people who work on the show where they got him from. Might not. Might be worth a try if you can't locate him anywhere else. Good luck, Donna.

To Aulani from veggie forum: see my first post. Glad you took a look and thanks for the compliment. I would post in the topiary forum, but it's pretty quiet there. I clip whenever I see new growth that interferes with the design, i.e. a sprig growing an inch or more on the tip of the spout, lid, ect. It's much easier if you keep vigilant then the trimming is not a chore. I have two other topiaries and I will try to post pics here on this forum.

Jan, Loved browsing through all the new garden pics. Thanks! I am particularly interested in your oak leaf hydrangea. I've been thinking about getting one, but don't know much about them. What type is yours in the pic above? How old is that bush? Any insect problems I should know about? The corner bed I'm thinking of putting it in is shaded by a pine tree. The soil needs a lot of work (the builder dumped a bunch of clay in this one spot), so it will be about a year before I can get it ready. Any tips? Kathy

We just moved to Arizona from Washington. I would never have tried to grow tomatoes out doors prior to moving here. I have two Early Girls with flowers and green tomatoes in the ground now, and have been covering them to protect them from the rain. Do I need to be doing this? Also.....same with zuchini. Do I need to continue covering these guys as well? I only cover when it gets below 35 degrees. I have never had a problem with the rain and do not cover them. The humidity in the air keeps the temperature up enough below freezing during this rain right now. So I do not cover my plants. i don't think that it will hurt them if you keep them covered though.

Why am I thirsty for some tea? he-he Love all the fun and magical whimsy in your secret garden. Your totems are so pretty too. It looks like you could spend an hour looking at your garden and not see everything - there is something hiding behind every corner. Keep the photos coming! They certainly bring a smile to my face.
