not a ton of insect life out here yet, wasps carpenter bees slugs, but none of those would be eating flowers. only flying plant eater i've noticed and they will eat anything and everything are stinkbugs and march and april are their breakout period. I guess really all insects should be waking up or hatching, but i haven't noticed many as yet in our area. not sure how florida or california whichever you are compare to our bug life.

Tennessee Pecan Squirrel with Brandy Peach Sauce Brandy Peach Sauce 2 fresh ripe peaches, peeled and sliced 1 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. sugar 1 oz. brandy ü cup water 1 tsp. cornstarch Melt butter in a saucepan, add peaches and sugar. I guess you are in Georgia or Carolinas. I think peaches are growable for homeowners in that area if you do a couple disease sprays around blossom time and if you bag the baby fruits in some kind of breathable but insect proof bag. Make sure you get a variety resistant to bacterial spot. I would recommend Carolina Gold as the top choice for a yellow peach since it is highly disease-resistant along with its awesome taste. It was bred in your climate. You can get trees for a cheap price from North Carolina Foundation Seeds -- it is a state organization selling the things the state breeds. I think I paid $5 a tree.
