FYI: These things are AWESOME. Puree some lean pork with crushed red pepper, green onoin and add some gouda. Tie the end off and dip the whole thing in tempura batter. Deep fry till crisp. I had the same experience with my pomegranate, it is second year and all the flowers just fell off. One of friend was about to take out his pomogranate having the falling off issue for 4 yrs, then some one told him that it is natural for some pomogranate trees to shed flowers/baby fruits in the initial years, so he kept it and this year it has more than 30 fruits.

I also live in Corpus and am experiencing some of the same. Blossom drop can be caused by temps being too low or too high, same with humidity which is probably what we are dealing with now. It can also be caused by too little or not enough nitrogen, lack of water or stress induced by insects. I seem to deal with it every year but the plants usually snap out of it. I am also noticing it effects some varieties more than others. For example, this year it appears to be happening most on my potato leaf varieties. As long as you didnt overfertilize, I think your plants will snap out of it and start setting fruit shortly Here is a link that might be useful: link
