Do you want the good news or the bad news first?

Ok So the bad news is I won't be losing much more weight...The good news is I got the best news possible today. All of your prayers have been answered. First things first. I went for my mamogram and ultrasound today. The radiologist couldn't find anything in there to be worried about. Not even a cyst. She thinks it was just something swollen due to monthly hormones. That was the first good news. Then on the way home from that appointment, I got a call from my kidney specialist. He gave me even more good news. My tests from last week in that department were so good that he is stopping my chemo after Fridays treatment. Since everything is looking good and my kidneys are starting to show some stress from the treatments, he thinks it will be best if we stop them. I will still have to go for three more radiation treatments, though. If the tests show the same results in a couple of weeks, I won't have to go back on it. All of the tests show that I am cancer free!

Thank you all, for your prayers. It means so much to me that you have all been here for me through this. God really does answer prayers.

Oh Micki.....you stinker, my heart was totally pounding and in my throat when I opened the post....but what a fantastic surprise I got. "Bad news is no more weight loss" !!! LOL. I've said before you are a Miracle Woman, and that hasn't changed.

Prayers won't stop, till the radiation does anyway, but meanwhile, I'm just gonna sit here with a huge ol' smile on my face and tears of happiness running down my cheeks.

Karyn now you"re talking. SO good to read that YOU got good weather. It is about time that you can work OUTSIDE the greenhouse. :-) I just walked around....My heart is heavy. It is worse that I imagined. This is my 1st hailstorm I remember that damaged the garden as it did. I guess I always missed out on the bad ones with moving around a lot lol Had rescued a banana plant from the sales rack at Lowes. That poor thing I swear looked dead just like Caren's. It had grown TWO layers of leaves ready to get big ....well the hole plant looks worse then your banana plant Caren. thanks dweep. I am glad this is my first and PLEASE the last one. I know I am dreaming again :-( Chocolate Brug, you sure know how to bring sunshine in my day! That is such a beauty! Oh I was just thinking what hail would do to a Plumeria and that reminded me of the succulents in the wheelbarrow that REALLY made me cry. But now I have unique succulents I am sure only I got lol What a way to get one of a kinds. Mary Jane I sure hope that you play it safe with this storm and going to games :-( I hope for your sake that by then you do not have no more storm!! For the rest that were able to *rescue* your plants before the storms comes. I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!! Next time they say we get hail...guess what I will try to do! Not that I would move my DH's car out from the carport rofl. But SHED here we come AGAIN lol Man even the cellphones did not work during the storm. I tried to call hubby and warn him to take his beloved car somewhere under a cover. Before they put a fence around the building he works in, he used to drive it right in the building. Well I had to plug my regular phone back up and call him. I sure hope his car is ok or I will see a grown man cry today Here comes the rain again. Let me go and close this and the doors Lucy

Hi Kayakay. You will love these little yellow stream violets. They are a pacific northwest natural. They slowly spread in shady areas to form a solid mass in early spring with cheery yellow blooms above the folage. They are in full bloom right now so you will get to see how pretty they are. They are drought tolerent, and if not watered throughout the summer they go dorment until next spring. I've had mine for 20 + years and would not be without them. I will bring you a large clump to start with, these are easy keepers without being invasive.

To clarify, what I had on the wall was (and still is on one) masonite strips, making up an Arts & Crafts, Mission style of wainscoting. So it's those strips I'm prying off, and they're really hurting the wallboard, leaving gouges. Western, I'm going to get a chance to do that mudding. :/ Cooperbailey, thanks for asking him. I've been using a flat screw driver and a hammer and that's worked pretty well. Fortunately, some of the boards came off pretty intact, though a lot of them left residue on the wall as they layered into small pieces. Many have left gouges where the wall is sort of peeling. It looks very nasty. I've completed the short wall. Next, the long wall. Then I get to sand the whole thing again, peeling the peely places I guess until I hit firmness. Then I get to mud/skim coat and sand the whole thing probably three times, letting it dry between coats. Gosh, I sure hope I can make it smooth and nice. Then I will wallpaper it. OR, if I get it really smooth, then I could use thin moulding to do the little boxes on the wall. What do you think? I think of beadboard as less formal... darling in bathrooms, but maybe the other types of wainscoting are better for an entry staircase with my formal furniture? Or not? I did order the beadboard wallpaper, but I can use that any number of places, like the hallway, bathrooms, my bedroom, etc. The life of a DIYer doesn't always run smoothly, but we always learn something, even if it's "don't try that again." Now I get to learn to mud walls. Estreya, thanks for the hug! I could use it right about now. That and maybe Bengay? lol! Oh, just got off the phone with my son and for right now he seems to be doing better than I expected. We'll see how it goes over the next days. The official breakup is still in front of him.

One thing, I'd hope you remember--medical science has advanced by leaps and bounds since your dd was a child. I know, even with a procedure my DH had about 5 years ago, and had to have repeated this year, there was vast improvement. I'd be willing to bet that the treatment today is better and hopefully more effective than what you were told many years ago. Wishing your daughter the best. As to your other news--Fantastic, the very best to you and your children.

I wish I was there ...... in fact -- I wish a bunch of us were there with you ... we'd surround you in a group hug jumping for joy - giving thanks for the good health you do have . .. Here's a thought ......

Just imagine ...you have a group of internet people that you don't know . You have no faces to relate to ...just posts . Anything and everything you posted , urged us to be better & be more creative. You showed us some cool stuff ,too. You also showed us hope & dignity facing the odds .
The love that was exchanged between posters & you , couldn't be matched - ever ! Everybody is praying for you .

Micki, I am so happy for you, I can't even put it into words!!!! I have been checking for a post from you for the past two days...hoping you'd learn something. WOW...what amazing news!!

So glad it's good news!! Hope that your kidney treatments will soon be over also. So did you plan on taking up modeling? You don't need to look like the magazine covers!! We just want you to look healthy!! Prayers continuing for complete recovery! Hugs! Jan

Wonderful news! Even the bad news! lol! I am so happy for you, Micki! I know how the folks here have a hotline to God or something because they always seem to get His attention. God always manages to come through for the Garden Junk Brigade!

This is great news!!! I'm so happy for you. I still have your SSJJ gift hanging at my front door & whisper a prayer each time I pass through. But, I'm a little slow. Just the other day I saw the tree that you had created in it!!! It's been there all this time. Goofy me!
