Hi, I have a July Peach Elberta( dwarf)from Stark Bro. It is a young tree that I planted last summer/fall. It is supposed to be about 8 feet tall. But mine is about 5' tall now with some peaches. I am in zone 5 so the fruit has not fully grown yet. The fruit is suppose to ripe in later July/Aug. depends on the temperature. Here are the pictures, hope this may help.

Well kids, I need help with my new peach tree. It is an Elberta Peach being grown in Grants Pass, Oregon in the beautiful Applegate Valley. We purchased a bareroot about 1.5 years ago and it is already bearing fruit. Leaf curl is a problem here, but I just pick it off and put the leaves in the burn barrel. My actual problem is with the peaches themselves. The first few we picked were absolutely "to live for", but the last half of the crop became soft and "pithy" as my grandma used to call them. Not acceptable at all. What have we done wrong. Were they picked to late. should I have picked them all at the same time and just allowed then to ripen in a cool place. Please help if you have an answer for me. Thanks so much.

Sorry about that. I used the wrong code for posting images. Here's the post again Hi everyone. I planted this July-Elberta peach tree sometime in mid-may. It was a bare root fruit tree. The branches never came out from the trunk because the buds were dead, however, on the very top of the tree, branches did start growing. Anyways, I believe this tree is 2-3 years old, however its only been about 4 months or so since its been planted. From where the there is growth, there seems to be one main branch and right where the main branch is coming out of, there are 2-3 more branches. The main branch is giving off plenty of secondary branches And there are also many branches coming off of the other two branches I mentioned earlier: And all the secondary branches are growing in together and criss-crossing and what not like so: How can I go about doing this? My thoughts are two cut off the secondary branches that are growing inwards and are criss-crossing with other inward growing branches. However, as for the brances growing outward from the main branches, I will just leave them alone. Will this help in whatever growing season is left for the peach tree? Thank you!

Kitchendetective, I read your comment wrong. I thought you said NOT to put something like the Poppy Nine Patch in the dining room but you actually said that it might work to put that there. Good point about not putting all browns in the dining room but aqua???? Wish I could wrap my brain around that one. Maybe I am just too predictable. LOL I'm trying to visualize how that wouldn't clash with the other colors but then again, it might work. Again, great you guys are thinking out side the box when I live inside it. LOL Thanks Chris. The wood does seem darker when I got it here which I'm glad for. A flat screen tv? I haven't priced those and not sure I can afford one with having to pay for new furniture but will look into that. They might be more affordable than I think. That would look better I guess on that cabinet than the regular tv that's on it now. Jamies...I originally had the artwork flipped like you suggest with the larger trees being on the outside but it seemed to look odd and not pull the look together as much as it does this way. It just didn't look right to me. I am about to leave and take pics of the LR and DR with me back to the furniture store where I am meeting the design coordinator there. She told me she could help me maybe pick out some things for those walls and I'm printing out everyone's suggestions to take with me. Gonna tell her if she can't make that darn sisal rug work somehow then I'm bringing it back. It's growing on me.....I think. Not sure yet. Thank you guys so much for your input.
