The bushes are planted pretty close to each other and they have a tree to deal with. To me it appears quite clearly to be nitrogen starved, in fact all 3 are starved. The reason the other two are not as light could simply be the difference in plant type or more likely it is due to that plant being in the middle so it has competition on both sides for nutrients. A good sign the plants are getting all the energy they need is large dark green leaves and new....I call them bull shoots coming from the base of the plant. You can see one nice size new shoot on the plant on the right but that is it. On young plants you want to see 2 per plant minimum and they should be pencil thick. I would strongly suggest you get some water soluble ammonium SULFATE not ammonium nitrate. Use 1 tsp per gallon of water and do that weekly giving 2 gallons per plant. Make sure the plants are not dry when you give it. The plant should green up pretty fast. The ammonium sulfate is 21-0-0. For those that say what about the other needed elements? Ignore them for now. The BB need the nitrogen constantly but only need the P and K now and then, same goes for all plants. For inground plants that are mulched there is generally enough native P and K anyway. I have not given my 200 or so in ground BB any P or K yet this year just nitrogen weekly since mid February. Potted plants are different and need more P and K added more often. One of the problems with our "soil" is fertilizer tends to wash right through. Ammonium sulfate clings tightly to the soil and resists being washed out. Here is a picture of what you want your leaves to look like. This is on one of my bushes. While those leaves may look big last year Floralcity Lou had leaves on his potted plants that were even bigger. This year I have him beat :) as he was overrun with new projects. Bet that is more than you wanted to know lol.

The brown patches have only appeared since i sprayed with the copper, so potentially that is the issue. I was spraying due to the purple patches, maybe I should check the root zone. I was going to re-pot into 5-1-1 mix in Autumn. It has got bark on for mulch and the soil always seems moist (very rarely have to water them). The bark mulch may be up against them stem, should I remove this? Update: Also just checked the PH (with PH wand thing) and it was about 5.2 and my other one was 5.9/6. I used flower of sulphur last time to lower the PH, should I used it again?

6.7 is way too high for blueberries. They need a pH of 4.5 to 5.5. Some varieties such as sunshine blue may be able to handle up to 6.0. Many areas east of you has a lower pH. I doubt that over fertilizing is the problem, especially since it is lady bug organic. Some chemical fertilizer can burn the plants due to salt buildup. I have to grow blueberries in pots due to poorly drained (clay) soils. Some people collect rainwater to water the plants or add acid to the irrigation water due to high bicarbonates in the water raising the pH. I do not have to in Beaumont due to the city water being low in bicarbonates. I would think they would be higher in Houston but only guessing. I add 1 tablespoon of ammonium sulfate (21-0-0) to 2 gallons of water each week in the spring and summer. About once a month I will add Miracle Gro Meracid instead to get the micronutrients. When you water the blueberries water them till water runs out the bottom to help reduce salt buildup. The plants do look bad and also seem to be planted too close together. You will also need two different varieties that bloom at the same time for pollination. Southern highbush blueberries bloom about a month earlier than rabbiteye.

Some of my blueberry plants are showing the same simptoms too. They used to be in 17 gallons pots then I transplanted them in to raised beads in March. A part from the drying/dying new berrie formation, the bushes are looking fine otherwise. I did notice a large number of aphids this year . Last winter was vey mild while this Spring was very cold with a few late frost. In my case I thought that the combination of transplant, pests and weird weather caused the issue.
