Has Anyone Ever Tried These Unusual Fruit Selections?

Without going into the all too familiar litany of problems with the source, is there actually anything special or desirable or fun with the unusual fruit and nut varieties sold by "that nursery" in Georgia. They sound fun to try. Has anyone done so? Do the nursery problems carry over into overt distortion of the character of the fruits and nuts? A little distortion is common in the nursey trade of course.

For instance, has anyone tried any of the following?

Georgiana Chinquapin (Dwarf) Tree

Patrick's Supergiant Fig Tree

Columbus Red Pear Tree (I'm especially interested in this)

Purple Greek Persimmon Tree

Plantation Sweet Pomegranate

Jumbo Quince Tree (maybe what once was "Patrick's Giant")

Austin Mays Dewberry

Elephant Blackberry

North Carolina Cannonball Walnut

The several supposedly cold hardy bananas from Texas, Kentucky, etc.
