I need help on my fuschias, please???
Comments (8)The poor thing! If it's under a roof area, the temperature could be a lot higher than plant would like. If it is then in a place where it would catch a breeze, the moisture could be taken from the leaves quicker than the roots could replace it from the potting mix. Misting might help, or finding somewhere a little cooler. IanS...See Morehelp with my dieing fuschia
Comments (5)hi i dont know what sort of fuchsia you have i would think its a bush as a hanging plant would drain on its own i would take the plant out of its pot let it drain so some air can get to the roots let it dry out for a couplr of days if the stem has gone black it could well be dead if you run you finger nail down the stem and its green it will be ok i would surgest a light prune to start new growth at the base of the plant as for watering in the future when the top of the pot is dry give ot a drink but dont leave the pot standing in water as fuchsias dont like wet feet i dont know what part of the usa you are in if its realy hot a would sray the plant in the morning and water at the end of the day when it cools down and feed the plant once aweek with a good food ie chem pak or tomato feed will do the trick hope this helps...See MoreFuschia Rescue - Help?
Comments (1)A fuchsia in a hanging basket will need daily watering. Even in our cooler climate that applies; if it doesn't rain; water it. Fuchsias are also heavy feeders. A good application of time release fertilizer helps. Stop moving it around; the change is continuing to add stress. Make certain that the soil doesn't dry out. It can take 6 weeks for a fucsia to begin reblooming....See Moremy fuschia is dying help
Comments (1)I had to reread your post twice, I couldn't believe what I was reading. You were told "FUCHSIAS WERE POND PLANTS" are you sure the plants are Fuchsias? Fuchsias are not pond plants, Fuchsias don't like wet feet, more Fuchsias are killed by over watering then anything else. Unfortunately by now your plants have probably bit the bullet. My guess if you take them out of their pots you will see if there are any roots at all they will be nothing more than brown mush. If any of the top growth is still viable you might be able to take some cuttings. If I were you, I'd take your Fuchsias back to where you bought them, ask for replacements because of the wrong growing instructions you were given, or get a refund. Hope you still have your receipt. Unfortunately you were dealing with someone who knows absolutely nothing about Fuchsias. Good Luck. A.........See Moreandy_e
