What's eating my melons??

Hello! I'm new here, and a new gardener as of this summer, so forgive me if I am asking a very obvious question!

I have been very exciting about my growing muskmelons until...worms!! I noticed some small holes in some of the melons, and when I cracked them open there were a few green worms hanging out eating my melons.

I have spotted a few cucumber beetles on the plants, and my first thought was larvae? But I'm just guessing, and hoping someone will know for sure. I've been spraying my plants with Neem oil to get rid of a small fungus problem, so I was surprised to see my melons destroyed by bugs. Ah, well... hope it turns into a learning experience.

Thanks very much,

Deana
