Need a recipe and advice

Hello everyone

I'm in the process of making a fountain in my back yard. The base is finished, it is made from plain concrete. It is a round form with a bottom that I will fill with water. I plan on covering it with my mud mix and making it look old...it will have an urn in it overflowing with water......anyways I would like to make bricks for the top to finish the edge. The problem is I have been on here searching for a recipe and the day is flying by.....I need them strong, maybe to sit on...The form I think I can figure but I dont think I should do them from hypertufa?....Not stong enough or what?? They will be about 10x8 with a taper and about 2 or 3 inches thick..Anyone out there with some advice would be a great help :-)
