Ok I have a genious idea... The team is the force in here.

THIS THREAD WILL BE ONLY FOR MIX RECIPE

I am trying to organize a thread for all people to only post the mix they use. I started a master document on how to make tufa, mix to use, mold, ect... I will release it after for all to use.

The rules for the idea to work is:

- The recipe you are pasting is not already posted here

- The thread is not used to chat about mix (Lets make it only for mix to be organized in one point)

- Specify what the mix is used for

- Specify properties of mix (optional)


The mix I have so far:

--------------- planters, pots, Spheres, ornemental -----------

Basic

1 part cement, 1 part sand, 2 parts peat

Granite Look-I

1 part Perlite or vermiculite, 1 part cement, 2 parts peat moss

Porous Tufa-Like

1 part sand, 1 part cement, 2 parts peat moss

Granite Look-II

3 parts Perlite or vermiculite , 3 parts peat moss, 2 parts cement

Sandstone Look

1 ½ parts sand, 1 part cement, 1 ½ parts peat moss

mix 1

1 part cement, 1 ½ parts sand, 1 ½ parts peat

strong mix 2

1 part cement, 1 part peat moss, 1 part Perlite, 1 part fiber mesh

Variation 3

1 part cement, 1 part peat moss, 1 part vermiculite

Variation 4

1 part cement, 1 part sand, 1 part peat moss,

Jeweler Style

1 tbsp screened limestone dust, 1 tbsp Portland cement, half tsp metakaolin, 1 tsp metal filings. Latex solution (ratio: 1 latex  1 water)

--------------- Heavy work + rebar + metal mesh -----------

Mesh Sculpture (outdoor use)

1 ½ liters sand, 1 liters Portland cement, 175 ml stone dust (screened), 80 ml met kaolin, 1/6 tsp air entrainer

½ tsp super plasticizer, 1 to 2 tbsp fibers, water (as little as possible)

--------------- Repair, joins, thin coating -----------

Repair mixture or Smooth Coatings

300 ml Portland cement, 150 ml stone dust (for smooth you can leave this out)

40 ml metakaolin (if no stone dust, increase to 80 ml), Latex solution (ratio: 1 latex  1 water)
