Can't speak for everyone, but the recipes I post are a mixture of tried and want to try. Sometimes it's a recipe I've had that someone else made and was kind enough to share. I try to remember to post whether or not I've made it or eaten it before, just so people will know. I also try to post where I got the recipe. That comes in handy for thanking people for sharing!

I post both. I say when it's a favourite of mine, or it's one to try soon. Anything I post, is of interest to me (which is why I seldom post desserts).

Today's recipe that I posted, I haven't tried yet, but is in my to-try binder. I trust Real Simple and Fine Cooking for good recipes, and they are often the sources that I post recipes from.

I post both but in general I mention if this is one I found that sounds good or if this is one we love which I have made often, or possibly one that someone I know has made often and passed to me to try it out.

I mainly post my family favorites.

Occasionally I share one that makes my mouth water :o)

Whether it is tried and true or a to try recipe, I really enjoy this thread every day and I thank you all for the inspiration and several wonderful recipes I have found right here.

Suzieque and sweet betsy, I bet we'd love to try your recipes, too. Care to share some?

I only post recipes that have been handed down in my family or more often than not, recipes that I made up and tried myself.

I've been posting this thread for over 2 years. That's over 700 recipes. As much as I'd like to have tried them all............there's no way. DH doesn't like half the stuff I do, so alot of them are recipes I'd love to try but can't.

I usually mention the ones I do cook. For example, today I cooked the Shredded Brussel Sprouts again, but this time, used pistachios, instead of pine nuts. Not nearly as successful. But there you go. Sometimes they sound alot better in print than in reality.

However, I'll still post recipes that I think are worth a try. Hope you don't mind.

I so agree with Luckygardner.
We regular posters who post daily, would not be able to post our own recipes that often. The ones we post that are not tried-and-true are certainly ones that peak our interest, and/or in our to-try binders (in my case, for sure). Anything I post, I wouldn't hesitate to make for us, with full intentions of doing so.

That is also why we love any of you to jump in and join in the thread. We know there are many good cooks here, and I have no problem with sharing my personal/family recipes with anyone.
