Sherry, my MJP is doing very well. She's still small, and I've had only one bloom from her, but it was lovely. Cream and apricot and pink all washed together. She seems quite healthy and is currently putting out new growth - I think she is just a quiet little aristocrat who doesn't take giant strides, just little dainty steps. Another small rose that I got even later last year is really leaping ahead, and has given two flushes already (only two blooms each flush, though!). But I don't hold that against MJP - they are just different from each other. I am also facing the problem of less sun this year (the trees have grown), so I have been moving them all around for maximum exposure. Also I'm repotting the ones most in need of it, one at a time (I'm not known for my stamina), and this has helped the ones that have been done. In the ground is not an option for me, but it sure sounds like it helps! Your SdEV is exquisite. Laura

Wow--thanks again, everyone. I guess sometimes I just wonder if I'm doing things right. You know, you get used to seeing the same thing day after day, so you just get used to it, even if it's hideous! I do love having a morning room. It was the ONE thing that my husband insisted on when we built the house, and I'm so thankful now that we did! funkyart: the flowers on the table are fresh cut from my garden...I've been working on a perennial/cutting garden for a few years now and it's finally paying off!! We're actually in WV, on the border of MD, but most of my family is from PA, so we know Boscovs. It is gorgeous...we're on our way to the pool as soon as I'm off the computer! parma42: I like the idea of putting 2 pictures there. That would fill the space more. I'll have to be on the lookout for a good deal (which I love to do!!). daisyadair: thank you! The window treatments are actually from Lowes. They are single straight valances, but I pinned them together and added the little pull up part in the middle. It was one really straight long line when we first hung them, so I'm happy they turned out. The desk I found at Home Goods, and it was 20% off b/c it had a little scratch on it (which I fixed easily with a black permanent pen). I'll hand the desk over any day to you, if the bills stacked on it can go with it!! :) bodica: Thank you. So you saw my next room we are working on too!! The color is SW Pennywise. I fell in love the picture that is hanging in there, and worked the room around it. I did the first floor bathroom in SW Spicy Hue (which is one shade darker) as well. Once the house is clean, I'll post more pictures. Oh, and I should give my DH credit for the crown molding/chair rail and picture frames on the lower half of the dining room. Thanks, I am excited about how it looks since I was so nervous it would be too much that I almost had them install it as an accent behind the bar area which meant it would have to be made into a long pattern. I really wanted my island slab in Before I decided about putting it behind my cooktop. 'twas not to be with the crazy timing of my workers; so I took a deep breath and said ,"go for it"! I'm now basically wiped out with all the decisions. I am really on my own with all of these decisions since my DH has abdicated any responsibility ( except for the all important money aspect). He gave me a good budget if it only covered the kitchen but somehow it needs to cover a face lift of most of the house, including ALL of the flooring. I hired a KD for 5 hours as a sounding board for my vision of my kitchen. she gave me a few sketches with no dimensions. Beyond that, she's been available by text.... Hoping we'll be finished with the kitchen next week. My DH has been awesome and uncomplaining throughout. I guess I am one lucky girl. It's been sort of a dream to finally try out all of these ideas floating around in my head for the past 12 years in a kitchen I never liked. Hope it turns out .
