So I tied my GoldRush branches and pruned--critique?

OK, so this is my first time pruning and training an apple tree, and my tree looks pretty funny! I used cloth tied to stakes on the ground, and some weights on the smaller branches, but I think I'm heading -- I hope at least -- in the right direction.

I'd appreciate it if anyone wanted to take a look and give advice.

I pruned off a few branches that were competing with the leader and one with a too-narrow crotch. I'm trying to train the others to grow more horizontally with the cloth ties and weights on the smaller branches. Harvestman told me that GoldRush requires little pruning, so I've erred on the side of leaving more branches; but I'm worried the middle has too many. Also, the leader is now way taller than the rest of the tree, and there are not many branches up high. I hope the pictures are clear enough for you to see what I mean.

Here is the whole tree:

Here is a picture of the lowest scaffold (4 branches):

Here is the middle section which has about 10 branches:

Do you all think it looks OK, or should I run right outside and do something, and if so what? Thanks again for all your help.
