Care, feeding and potting of Tillandsia?
Comments (3)You'd better find out what type it is before you pot it up. Most of the aerial-growing types don't like to be potted, and excess moisture can be a problem, but if it's something like T. cyanea or T. tricolor then it's fine, and would actually prefer a pot. If you post a picture someone here can help ID it and tell you what kind of conditions it likes. If you can't post a pic, then you can visit FCBS.org and scroll through all their Tillandsia pictures. There are hundreds of species, so it's pretty hard to do an ID from a verbal description, but if it's small and covered with silver scurf, chances are it would rather be mounted than potted....See MoreTillandsia grab bag care
Comments (1)Mount or suspend them all. High humidity and plenty of air flow. They should thrive. Bright indirect sunlight....See More'American Gothic'....brom style

Comments (3)See post below (or it may be above after I add this info) called "Is it too late to save my Tillandsia Cyanea "Pink Quill" plant?" because that's what your plant is. Also, I think you're doing okay with it, so keep doing that, just don't be surprised if the main, original plant slowly dies away, making room for the pups/offsets/daughter plants. They can all stay where they are until they seem to be pushing out of the pot then you can repot if you wish, or if you want to separate them, wait until the babies are at least half the size of the mother plant. In the wild the plant would remain as one until something comes along to trample it, play with it, and/or eat part of it, thus separating it and allowing the babies (or teenagers if large enough) to grow on their own....See Moremrlike2u
