Spraying young apple trees

thomis

Hello again,

Do you fellow orchardists spray your one and two year old apple trees?

I was told by the local nurseryman that my job is to look out for caterpillars and Japanese beetles these first two years and maybe scale the second year. But no need to spray. The point is to just let the roots develop and get established. I'm interested to know at what point do you begine a spray regimen. Many thanks.

Thomis
