Question about saving White Velvet Okra seeds

I let an okra pod stay on the plant too long and it's pretty large. I picked it since I didn't want production to slow down and found this information about saving okra seeds:
It's easy to save okra seed from one season to the next by leaving some of the last pods to mature on the plant until they get very large. Once they are removed and allowed to dry, the pods may be cracked open and the seeds removed.

White Velvet is best when the pods are small, but are okay when they're 6-7 inches in length. This one is about 8 inches long.

My question. Is it too small to use for seeds?
