Glass Gem corn, save the seed question, due to a lot of rain

I was going to post on Seed Saving, but it doesn't look very active and time may be a factor.

I have only a few Glass Gem ears on the stalks and was hoping to save seed for next year. This has been a bad year locally for any type of corn.

They are drying on the stalk but were not quite ready. Now they are drenched. After weeks of no rain. The forecast for yesterday was 30% chance of rain, but we got about 500%! I had over 6" in less than 24 hours and more on the way. My gauge only holds 6" and it was running over.

OK the question. I picked one ear that I could reach without sinking in mud over my boots and it looks a little like a start of some white fungus or something?

Should I put on my waders and pick the rest?

Shuck them and put them under a fan?

Help!
