Pepper seedling leaf problem

I started these from seed, potting soil might have been from last year - meaning used and seedling did not emerge so I saved the pot & soil and reused this year.

I think I should destroy this plant so as not to risk infecting my 20 other pepper seedlings? A few other nearby plants have leaves that have a little of it already. For hem I will spray with fungicide, let dry and cut off bad parts.

Just FYI, fungicide is a preventative. Once you have symptoms of a fungus infection, fungicide won't necessarily kill it. You might be seeing bacterial leaf spot. MIght just remove tha affected leaves. But protection for other uninfected foliage can be achieved with copper or chlorothalonil.

Hard to tell but that second pic looks like they could be sitting on concrete. Are these plants outside? It might just be sun damage. If not then it could also simply be a magnesium deficiency. You say the potting soil *could* be previously used and nutrients don't stay in potting mix forever.

There is no mention of you fertilizing them, nor do you mention what kind of growing conditions they are in or care they have received up until now so it's really all just guessing at this point...

i don't really see any aphids on the plant itself i will have to check today when watering but i know their are a ton of white flies due to my grandpa throwing in clipping/ basically making a compost pile right by my plants so that might be the case but like i said i don't really see them on the plant itself. i will try to do the same if this is the problem

I did not want to use pesticides in the garden, but after years of having bugs, particulary tiny, tiny beetles chew up my plants, I finally bought plant spray from Lowes. It did the trick. I tryed the "natural stuff" before, but it seemed rather ineffective. So I got the regular garden stuff. It works. One thing I learned about garden mistakes, DON'T WORRY ABOUT. You will have plenty of chances to get it right. If you have a plant disaster that is breaking your heart, pull the darn thing, quick. Suffer no more! Move on. Watch those peppers for a few days, then pull quickly and replace them if they don't look good. You have a lot of months ahead of you to grow a new batch.

Use epson salts - 1 Teaspoon per foot of plant every two weeks. You are also over watering. Wait until the plant is semi dry (you can almost see the leafs going down, specially when it is hot). My plants almost let me know when they want water.. you can see the plant start to lower their leaves. then water the plant until the pot is completely wet.. the water will then syphon down and leave the dirt moist. Make sure you don't water again until the plant looks like it needs more water (the dirt should feel almost dry.. but not completely dry). I've been growing habaners and fatalli for 8 years now.. they grow HUGE and ultra hot. I got enough chiles to fill a 3 gallon water bottle.. I then dry them up with a dehydrator and ground them! you have chile powder for the whole year!

This is NOT spider mites or white flies this is a water uptake issue called edema. The issue arises from the roots taking up more water than the leaves can transpire. i had this on my peppers this year and cured it by doing 2 things, first when I potted up my peppers I increased the amount of perlite in my mix to allow for more air flow in the soil so the roots we're quite so waterlogged and second I set up a fan on the other side of the grow room to add a slight breeze over my peppers the edema went away. Cut down on the water and use lighter less peat heavy mix. Very treatable, but catch it early before it gets out of control and you lose your plants.

Growing inside 100% temps 68-78 watered from bottom. I planted from seeds. No fertilizer until 2 days ago (miracle grow potting soil).

Dan good point about not stopping it, I keep forgetting that. I pitched the 1 plant seemed like a no brainer - I had a few extra. Most mature leaves had it bad. Going to trim other leaves and spray immunox then in a few days daconcil.
