Thornless blackberries and raspberries

Hi! I'm thinking of adding some thornless blackberries and maybe thornless raspberries to the garden this year. I know the thornless blackberries are not always as hardy, but I found out there are four varieties growing at some popular u-pick farms up north. (Maybe I'm a little off on my zone calculations). Anyway, has anyone grown them and is the flavor as good as the thorned berries?

I am planning on adding purple raspberries in a different location, where thorns are not a problem, but would prefer thornless blackberries and possibly thornless red raspberries (easier for the nieces and nephews to help pick). I've read Canby and Nova (I think) raspberries are "virtually" thornless. Has anyone tried these?
