I love seeds and I buy them anywhere I can find them...I have this addiction...my husband says we don't have to worry about money for our children, they can sell the seeds I leave behind...seriously...in the search box on the main oage...type in where to buy seeds and you will find dozens of sources.

go to organica seeds! they have just about every kind of plant seed i can think of ( well, alot of them ) and they have tons of high quality seeds!!! you want it, they probably have it

I wouldn't be surprised if the best quality to price ratio is at WalMart at the end of the season. Sometime within the next few months they probably have Burpee or some other brand name seed at five for a dollar. Later, sometimes, they may be twenty for a dollar. These seed purchased in the fall and refrigerated over the winter will probably be 90% as good as the spring purchase and at less than 10% of the spring price.

I agree with all of the above, including GardenWeb's own seed exchange forum. Basically every place that sells seeds whether it be the dollar store, Kmart's garden center, Park's seed, Renee's garden, The Cook's Garden, Victory Seed, Fedco, Baker Creek Heirloom, or home gardeners willing to trade. They're all fairly reliable. One human rarely ever eats all the produce grown from the plants that result from planting every seed in a package anyway.

Since your are looking for "...for all variety of vegetables even unusual and hard to get ones" I suggest two places for you to utilize:

1) The Garden Watchdog. Narrow your search to those vendors listed under "vegetable seeds" and then narrow further by typing in the word "heirloom". You'll receive a list of 16 companies in this country and be able to read the customer reviews of those companies.

2) The GardenWeb Seed Exchange. The lists are searchable and members like me are more than happy to trade extra seeds from seed packs and fresh from our own gardens. And we can mail several varieties of seed for less than a couple of dollars.

I actually found a site online call seedlover.com and ordered a couple packet of seeds from them. It should be a few more days before I receive my order hopefully.
