Yet another peach pruning question (w/pic)

Below is a picutre of a bare root peach tree that I planted last year. It was pruned by the nursery before they sent it to me and I haven't done anything with it, but I know something needs to be done.

The top of the white collar is 12 inches above the ground and the top of the tape measure is 36 inches above the ground.

My question is where should I make my pruning cut?

There are some big branches around 30" high that could serve as the main fruiting branches, but I'm wondering if that is too high for ease of picking/thinning/etc.

Or should I whack the tree about half way between the top of the collar and the top of the tape measure? There are a few very small branches in this area - - will they develop into my main fruiting branches, or are they too scrawny?

Anyhow, I'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions on what to do with this beast and where to prune.

Thanks!

Bart
