HAVE: Daylily Seeds (pics of pollen/pod parents)

Have several crosses ripened... Please remember that seeds from parents will come out different, sometimes they will look similiar sometimes tototaly different, they just get their gene coding from them. Also, these seeds will be airdried and stored in the fridge upon receipt you should probable store them for a few more weeks. You can also store them in the fridge untill next spring if you are starting them indoors. All seeds are crossed by hand, but that doesnt mean some bee hasnt swooped in and dabbed another tetraploid pollen with it... BTW all listed below are tetraploid crosses.

Mostly looking for perennials at this point. Would love seeds from E. Sundown or Sunrise if anyone has any. But open to any offers, I might not know I want something untill you tell me what you have.

Rigo74, Medo has not yet identified for me what vine she suggests but if you are referencing orange Campsis radicans it is prolific to the point of invasiveness in my garden. Bambi, but using converted dips, the good results start immediately. So why beat yourself up? Look at all the 2010 intros and see how many come from converted dips, 1st generation. How many from dip X tet crosses? Actually, the odds would be about the same for embryo conversion. So low that it is just not worth the effort, not with today's readily available converted dips, IMHO of course! To give you an answer for pod vs. pollen parent tributes, I suggest taking a distinctive parent, plugging it into Tinker's database and looking at the flower's children. Try to use something with at least a 100 pod vs. 100 pollen children. See if you think any pattern develops. If you find something, let me know. I need convincing. John, Good question. I've been trying to determine if there is some kind of pattern in my own seedlings. So far, I'd have to agree with Jan - anything seems possible. For instance...I have a cross MISTER LUCKY (pod parent) X SO MANY STARS (pollen parent). All the seedlings that have bloomed so far seem to have inherited their form from SO MANY STARS. The color has been mostly a blend of the two...but not always. Here is an example - MISTER LUCKY X SO MANY STARS #1 MISTER LUCKY X SO MANY STARS #2 I think they look like siblings...just different colors. Occasionally, I am dumbfounded. This next cross doesn't seem possible. Since I am obsessively careful about marking and collecting seeds, I have decided that an insect had a hand in this next cross. Both of these seedlings were marked ED BROWN X HEARTS OF FIRE. It's not just a color difference, it's the form, the foliage, the size and the edge difference that make me think the yellow seedling had different pollen. All the other seedlings from this cross look like a variation of the red one (which is what I expected). ED BROWN X HEARTS OF FIRE (red in back and yellow in front) Weird, huh? Absolutely gorgeous! I already have strawberry candy, but love the rest. please check my list and let me know if I have anything you're interested in. I've been busy collecting seeds so not everything I have is posted right now. I have lots of perennials so if there's something specific you're looking for let me know - I may have it. Or if you're looking for something for a particular area (butterfly plants, wildflowers, shade, tall perennials,etc) I might just have something that'll fit.

I do have seeds from Sundown if you want to try them. From what I have heard though, seeds from these hybrid echinaceas tend to revert to purple.
