Jock itch and Apple Cider Vinegar

Hello all. I have jock itch and I want to cure it so badly. It is really itchy. I just want to know if applying Apple Cider Vinegar directly (or mixing it up with water) is a good cure? Will it also help if I drink one teaspoon daily?

It's a FUNGUS that is under your skin ... the cider won't do a darned thing for it.

Get an OTC treatment and follow the directions on the label.

Hello Slider:

Actually, cider vinegar works pretty well on fungus infections. I have used it for years to go from a skin infection that drove me nuts to one that is an occasional irritation. Instead of baths, I bathed by wiping down with a couple of cups of cider vinegar. It sooths the skin and helps anxiety, whcih for me seemed to go with the skin problems. Recently however, I have found for vaginal infection (candida probably, a kind of fungus, sort of) that yoghurt works better. So, try that first, it is less stingy. Vinegar stings.

Also, another help is MSM available in the health food stor. that takes away the itch, but puts the stuff in your blood and kidneys which makes you (me) nervous. I take cilantro to get it through the kidneys and eliminate and end the cycle. Keep up any treatment for a couple of months to be sure of completion. fungus hangs on.

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with writing your name/address on an envelope (not the thank you note). Put the cards in a bowl and draw out the name for a door prize. I've been to several showers where this has been one of the games. The bride/new mother is still writing the thank you note. She's just enclosing it in a pre-written envelope. Maybe someone has changed addresses since the invites went out. No big deal IMHO. Put a little baby oil in a spray bottle and spray freshly painted nails. They won't smudge as bad.

MSN news had a slide show this morning of what might trigger psoriasis: blood-pressure medications !! It's the binder/filler ingredients in pills, such as magnesium stearate which is the culprit. With my 3-years hand rash I finally found the culprit besides my hard-well water: It's magnesium stearate coating on pills, also a component in Nature-Made magnesium pills, and a component in Nature-Made vitamin D tablets. An amazon customer reported that magnesium stearate in Align probiotic pill caused bad rash, so I stopped my magnesium pills ... and no more rash !! I'm taking magnesium oxide powder, which doesn't have the magnesium stearate coating .. so far zero problems, zero rash with magnesium oxide. HI socks: thanks for the tip on retailmenot.com and ebates.com. We printed out coupon for $36 off from Vision Works, but didn't bring it along, since thought our kid's glasses would be covered by insurance (can't use coupon). When we were ready to pay, our insurance didn't go through, and we had to DRIVE ALL THE WAY home, just to fetch the coupon. I don't like shopping at Bed & Bath Beyond since it's a hassle to take the 20% coupon along. I forgot one time, and the store clerk won't give me one. What I love about the Internet is it ENABLES the average person to take care of themselves better, without paying $$$ to "experts" who don't give a damn. My husband is "one" with his car, so when it broke down, he knew immediately that's the generator. He took his old generator to the auto-shop to be tested. They tested it WRONG, and told him it's OK. So he took his car to the dealer. The dealer charged $$$ for diagnostic tests, but could not find anything wrong with his car. HIs car broke down again !! He got mad and took it to his friend, a mechanic. His friend agreed that it's the generator, put a new one in, and it WORKED !! Same with my sister, a retired Internal Medicine doctor with decades of experience. My period stopped at menopause (51) for months, then it came back ungodly heavy. My M.D. sister told me it's cancer. I disagree, and told her it's from the pumpkin seeds I eat for months. She didn't believe me until I dug up researches from government website that prove the potent estrogenic effect of pumpkin seeds. Weird question, but have you eaten cashews lately? I had a similar issue as you years ago, and it turns out I am allergic to cashews. Although I now avoid cashews, sometimes they are unknowingly in a snack food that I eat and I have had reactions a few time since. It always involves extreme itching around my privates, the back part included, and sometimes migrates to a red, slightly raised rash on my inner thighs and other places on my body. Turns out I have been allergic to cashews since childhood. I remember having cases of extreme itching around my privates as a young girl. Only later, as an adult, when I had the severe reaction that made me realize I was allergic to cashews did I make the connection to my issues as a child and the cashew chicken dish I often ordered when we went out for Chinese food.

Jock itch is the imfamous athlete's foot fungus, a bit misplaced. I have treated my feet before successfully with tea tree oil, but that would be quite uncomfortable in the privates. Maybe try a tea tree oil soap. That would probably be more soothing. It should take about a month to clear up, washing with the soap twice a day.

this fungus spreads very eashily, so make sure you wash your hands after touching the area or your feet.

"Jock itch" can be due to a number of conditions, some of which are not infectious (i.e. psoriasis, eczema etc.). There can be infection (bacterial or fungal). Sometimes fungal infection can be due to the same fungus that causes athletes foot, sometimes not.
A long-term, chronic problem is probably worth having accurately diagnosed before starting self-treatment.

Using vinegar (internally or externally) has not been shown to be effect in treating this problem, and there's nothing special about "apple cider" vinegar.

Stopped messing around. tinactin. This will cure you. Curing a fungus requires an antifungal agent.
