If you have money enough to buy a liner fabric, get one big enough for your pond. I bought a damaged swimming pool liner and had more than enough material for a large pond of my own. Until you get a pump and other kit, you can maintain it as a still pond. You will need some living, truly floating vegetation like water lettuce to keep the pond 'healthy'. I never did this but I am told that can be done. You can attach these floating plants to styrofoam until they have settled in. I suppose you can put a few fish in the pond also.

The tomato wants to grow in the upright position as do all plants. it will always try to do this and you cant train it to grow down. Unless of course you put a giant grow light below it that was more powerful than the sun. Then it might grow down. mike

Though I didn't watch the whole video, in my opinion, these types of things are at worst a marketing ploy and at best, a cute conversation piece for your back patio. Like calling a Chia Pet a house plant. They are green. They grow. But they are not in the same league as that ficus in the corner. If you have the space and want a serious garden, you will get a significantly bigger yield per plant if you stick with traditional planting methods (your 5-gallon bucket, in this case). But if you don't have the space, or just like to tinker with things that are fun and unusual, this is a cute idea.

use rope that is attached to the baseboard and the board the poly is attached to in a zig-zag pattern. if you want to use less rope you can just have vertical pieces of rope every few feet attached to the baseboard and the board the poly is attached to. there are many pictures available if you google roll up sides.
