Hello Everyone, Dave, We must have been posting at the same time because i missed your post. That Miami Rose will be a challenge, but im up for it!!! Neysa, Thank you for thr kind words.. The Adeniums (Desert Roses) are very unique indeed!!! They do have their own personality. I find that they are easy to take care of. Full sun during the summer and i treat them somewhat like the Plumies during the winter. Limiting the water intske. But the Plumies receive less water then the DR's during the winter. I feed them in the summer just like the Plumeria and i water themm more often as well. (summertime) Especially since they are in the "AL's Gritty Mix" This mix is a very fast draining mix. I think the seed exchange has been decimated by people moving over to Facebook. Plus, there is such an extensive list of "bad traders," some added for absolutely no reason except that someone didn't like the trade they got, that it's become almost a clique. Please PM me. Thanks catlady999! Peaking the flat roof would be ideal and I love tin roofs. Those were my first thoughts too so I got some estimates form a local contractors and it will cost an extra $30K on top of what insurance will pay for the roof. We have about $30K to put towards improvements in total (in addition to insurance work) and upgrading the small 1950s kitchen is a must so unfortunately the roof lines will have to stay as is. Great idea though :)
