green bean seedlings died suddenly...???

hi everyone! i'm so glad the sun is shinning and my garden's growing!! but i started a bit late, oh well!

anyway, to the heart of the matter - the french green bean seedlings (bush variety) i started from seed, suddenly died! they were vigorously thriving and all of a sudden, two of the 4 just wilted and are now gone. i'm so sad. they were gorgeous.

so any thoughts at to what could have happened? (before i start again)

i've got them growing between carrots (king midas and french babette), with a small row of spinach on the far end in a 3x4 raised bed. everything in the box is thriving, although i've just gone through the traumatic experience of thinning (that's another post, lol!!), so i'm taken aback by my beautiful green beans.

any info would be much appreciated.

angela :)
