Have lots of passion fruit and california poppy seeds and loquat seed to trade.

I would love to have some passion fruit seeds. I am just getting started since I have moved from apartment life to a house and don't really have anything to traderight now other than the store bought peppers and herb seeds. I also stopped by a local park today and collected some pink columbine seeds I can share.

I am interested in passion fruit and poppy seeds. Like mybabygirls, I have just recently moved from an apartment into a townhouse, so my trades are limited. I do have some cape honeysuckle seed pods I would be willing to trade. I also have this really unusual succulent that looks like an aloe plant, but instead of spikes, it puts off tiny succulents that are its "seeds". Please let me know if you are interested in trading.

Hello. I live in MD. I would love to trade for some larkspur seeds, and your feverfew. I am new to garden web but I do have some things to trade. I have been going around to everyones yards and asking if I can pick their seeds. lol I have fresh hollyhock seeds mostly shades of pink, purple and one peach one, but they did self pollinate so who knows what color they may be. They were 7 ft tall and stunning. I have a type of feverfew, I think it was virgo or alba it is all white, little button type. And also a strange looking one with a big yellow center and individual white leaves. My neighbor has some four oclocks growing and said that I could take as many seeds when they are ready as I would like. They are hot pink and yellow with a pink line. In the fall if you wanted I could give you some starts of forget me nots, I let mine go to seed and now I have tons of baby plants. They are very pretty in the spring. I have some foxglove seed that I am collecting from my few digitalis. This was the first year , some I planted from seed and a couple others I bought as plants. I also will have soon hyacinth beans. They are so beautiful and easy to grow. Seeds aren't ready yet. We live so close we should trade plants too. I live near Baltimore. Let me know. Happy gardening. Jenny.

interesting, i have never heard of this tree...well you got me googling it. =) its quite pretty let me think about it. i am trying to find out if it will even grow here, the reading i just googled says zone 4 - 7 and needs some chill in winter...i am in zone 8 and it does get cold here for a bit, but this is after all california and we dont get that much cold. otherwise i am curious and interested, but let me research it a bit.

I had a lot of trouble finding passion fruit in the store (I've been trying for several weeks) so I figure some might be interested in my solution. I tried the obvious candidates--Whole Foods, Asian supermarket, big grocery stores, specialty markets, etc. I asked at Whole Foods and they said they were out of season. So I placed a question on Yahoo answers: "Where can I find fresh passion fruit near San Jose (Cupertino) California?" To my amazement, it worked, and someone knew of a market a few miles away that I had never even heard of (Cosentino's). I was shocked when I saw the price--$35 a pound--but I had my pick of a large number of what appeared to be high quality fruit. I bought one for $5 and it was quite good. For whatever reason Yamagami's (in Cupertino, but not far from Sunnyvale)seems to carry a lot of P. edulis fairly late (August or September). Perhaps that's when it's easiest to get plants with flowers, buds, and fruit from the wholesalers. You should check with them and see when they will have NG and Black Knight, and make sure they special order them if they don't plan on selling them. I remember them selling both of those varieties in 1 gallon pots, as well as a couple others such as Red Rover and Frederick. Maybe Frederick was 5 gallons (?). A 5 gallon plant will probably run $40 or $50, a 1 gallon $20, so this can make a difference, particularly if you want more than one variety. Sometimes they have big sales in September where one can get 60% off. Nancy Garrison is a regular speaker there, so it makes sense that they carry that variety. It's worth getting on Yamagami's mailing list if you plan on buying things there. I've never seen Frosty anywhere. If you are trying to track down a variety possibly someone who posts on the Cloudforest Cafe would have something. I think there are more CRFG (California Rare Fruit Growers) members who post there. I have not seen that much in the way of P. edulis elsewhere in the South Bay. Frederick and I think an unnamed variety at Roger Reynold's in Menlo Park. That's about it. Even fruit is hard to find for sale--I've just seen it at Cosentino's (now gone) and the Milk Pail (Mountain View). Here is a link that might be useful: Yamagami's contact form

Hi there,

Would you be interested in trading for Sweet Peas? Cupani's Original, highly fragrant. Early spring, climb with tendrils, blooms are magenta and purple. Also, I do have other seeds list on my trade page.
