HAVE: Fresh Larkspur 'Earl Grey', California Poppies,etc.

Hello,

I have lots of fresh seeds to offer: there is Larkspur 'Earl Grey' that self-sowed very well from last season. It is a greyish pinky-purple, and it looked beautiful in masses.

I also have an abundance of purple Larkspur with blue flashing. This was an unexpected favorite, and I look forward to it multiplying next spring.

And I have tons of Feverfew 'Snowball', which was really lovely. I liked it better than Baby's Breath.

Whoops...forgot to add that I have orange California poppies that self-sow most excellently. There may be a few white/cream CA poppies mixed in.

I recently scored some gorgeous and tasty Black Velvet Aprictos (basically, apriums--50/50 apricot and plum) for next-to-nothing at Sam's Club, and this past weekend, I made two batches of an Aprium-Pomegranate Pepper Jelly that was a spin-off of my favorite Apricot Pepper Jelly recipe. The pepper jelly turned out GORGEOUS (burgundy-colored) and DELICIOUS (tangy and spicy)! Here's the recipe, if anyone would like to try it. Also, the link below is to my blog where I posted a couple of pictures. Aprium-Pomegranate Pepper Jelly 1/2 cup dried apricots, chopped finely 1 cup pomegranate juice 1 large red bell pepper, seeded and chopped (I used a smaller yellow bell pepper, plus one Hungarian Hot Wax pepper from my garden to make up the size difference) 1/2 cup hot peppers, seeded and chopped (I used one Anaheim-type, two jalapenos, and two serranos) 8 or 9 fresh Black Velvet apricots (or any aprium or pluot variety), washed, pitted and chopped 2 cups cider vinegar 6 cups sugar 1 pouch (3 oz) liquid pectin Put the dried apricot bits into a microwave-safe bowl and pour the pomegranate juice over them. Microwave on high for four minutes, and set aside to let the dried fruit absorb the liquid. In the meantime, seed and chop the peppers and the fresh apricots. Add the reconstituted dried apricots, peppers, fresh apricots, vinegar and sugar to a large pot and stir. Bring to a full rolling boil for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the pectin and stir in. Bring back to a hard boil for 5 minutes. Check the set, and continue to boil at two-minute intervals until the desired set is achieved. Fill (seven or eight) half-pint jars, wipe the rims, adjust the lids and rings, and process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes. Hello. I live in MD. I would love to trade for some larkspur seeds, and your feverfew. I am new to garden web but I do have some things to trade. I have been going around to everyones yards and asking if I can pick their seeds. lol I have fresh hollyhock seeds mostly shades of pink, purple and one peach one, but they did self pollinate so who knows what color they may be. They were 7 ft tall and stunning. I have a type of feverfew, I think it was virgo or alba it is all white, little button type. And also a strange looking one with a big yellow center and individual white leaves. My neighbor has some four oclocks growing and said that I could take as many seeds when they are ready as I would like. They are hot pink and yellow with a pink line. In the fall if you wanted I could give you some starts of forget me nots, I let mine go to seed and now I have tons of baby plants. They are very pretty in the spring. I have some foxglove seed that I am collecting from my few digitalis. This was the first year , some I planted from seed and a couple others I bought as plants. I also will have soon hyacinth beans. They are so beautiful and easy to grow. Seeds aren't ready yet. We live so close we should trade plants too. I live near Baltimore. Let me know. Happy gardening. Jenny.

I have some fresh white datura (angel's trumpet: the ones Georgia O'keefe painted) seeds I'm drying right now. I LOVE THESE PLANTS!!! They grew like weeds to 2-3 feet tall, have beautiful grey-green leaves, CONSTANTLY bloom with huge white flowers pointing up to the sky, the japanese beetles did not make one nibble on them, and now there are going to be TOO MANY seeds to store overwinter if I collect every seedpod which developed!
Send me a packet each of your flower seeds (delp, feve, poppy) and I'll do the same for you!

Would be interested in your larkspur, feverfew, poppies (any) and marigold from your list. See my list for some you may be interested in- have dinner plate dahlia- purple with white tips and a deep red as well as many other dahlias. Thanks!
