tomatoes, beans, eggplant, squash...and barnyard grass

The barnyard grass is killing me. I have these beautiful vegetables, and they're doing so well out there despite the grass, but this grass is terribly invasive. Unbelievable.

There's wonderful soil out there and sun for 10+ hours a day, so the veggies are doing fine. But I read that barnyard grass takes 80% of the nitrogen out of your soil.

That just burns me up. I wish I could pull it out every day, but its getting hard. It just comes back by evening. Its the fastest growing stuff you've ever seen.

And this is after solarizing for 1 1/2 years.

I wish I had another site with this kind of soil and sun that wasn't infested, but I don't.

Now I can't even use roundup, because I'd kill my veggies.

I'm pretty sure there aren't any good solutions. I think I'm just venting.

Thanks for reading, anyhow.
