Trees off patent protection

I have been researching tree patents in preparation for scion exchanging, since scion-exchanges don't allow patented varieties, plus I don't want to steal from the hard-working plant inventors. Checking name by name is time-consuming, so I thought I'd try and figure out what patents were issued before 1992 and I thought I'd share:

Since plants patented before 1995 have 17 years of protection (20 years after 1995) that means it's legal before today's date in 1992. I checked through the numbers, and so to the best of my research, you can safely share anything with a patent number of 08300 or below (but double-check just to be sure!)

For example, the pluot Flavor King's number is PP08026, and putting into the patent website gives a filing date of 6/10/1991. (Filing date is the starting date for counting the 17 years)
