urea for fruit trees how much how often?

have found a local source for 50lb bags of urea.

soil is somewhat sandy well drained (rolling topography)

trees are 3rd year apple and 2nd year cherry plus a handful mature apple and cherry trees.

I have not fertilized these trees previously. soil test showed no remediation req'd.

mature trees have probably benefited from lawn fertilizer as they are in my lawn vs. new trees which are in areas formerly hay or alfalfa fields.

doing research I've found recommendations that range from about .2 lbs per tree to a full pound.

also have some articles that recommed multiple applications in a year and others that say only once in early spring.

looking for advice.

thx in advance for help.
