I didn't have Block Tool but now I do! Thanks! What a great way to alter the size of blocks. I've never seen so many size options. I have quiltfab and quiltref and use them all the time. When I was doing the hand quilting on my wallhanging before the holidays I used the stitch length diagram constantly to compare against and keep consistent. I just upgraded from the Touch (w/out camera) to the Phone - it was an early birthday present. It was a refurb purchased from at&t and very reasonably priced. It looks brand new and like it's never been out of the box before I got it. Even more than the camera, I like the map feature. When I was quilt shop hopping yesterday, we had trouble finding one of the new stores. I was able to look them up, click on the location link, and POP! There was a map, with a little moving dot for me and a dot for the store. I didn't even have to call them for directions. I guess I should have known it had that ability but I hadn't used it before. I was also thinking about this thread after hearing the the News Quiz on Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me. One of the items on the News Quiz asked something to the effect of "This influential individual died 50 years ago this week", of course Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was the correct answer, but my objection was to the usage of "died". Yes, he died, but more importantly, he was murdered, nay, assassinated, and their use of "died" sounded beyond non-optimal, it sounded WRONG. This thread remains very thought provoking, and I appreciate everyone's musings.

I'd hoped people would listen to the podcast first, it has to do with how rapidly growing, job rich METRO AREAS have experienced explosive real estate price growth over the decades, making it difficult for both well-heeled buyers and blue-collar workers to afford to buy homes. And how governments have failed to act to relieve the problems. The direction it's gone in is fine but too bad not including what I thought was a more interesting aspect of economic dynamics of these perhaps dozen or so locations, the skyrocketing of housing prices. Skyrocketing not just increasing. An example - we bought our first house for about $50K. It was over 20 years old at the time and maybe 30% more expensive than other houses of about the same size and type for sale in the area (Silicon Valley) but it had a more central location. It's now a 60 year old, 1400 sq ft basic tract house on small lot, in a well-maintained area that's nice for what it is, a development of small, cookie-cutter tract houses. It's within walking distance of Apple's HQ that opened in 2017. It sold 3 months ago for over $2 million. It's not an extreme example.And I know similar and even more extreme prices for much less house exist in other Job Rich metro areas.

IF may be helpful for people who have certain types of eating patterns that a fasting schedule can disrupt to their benefit. That is certainly not in dispute. It should not, however, be viewed as a primary means of losing weight.
