Help a newbie out?

Hi all,

The GW system doesn't seem to like me, my email etc. keeps disappearing!

I have fixed it again,(3 times now) this time it had changed my state to NY.

To begin with I thought I just forgot to save when I was finished, am I loosing my mind,or has anyone else had troubles with it?

I am mostly looking for veggies and herbs,I have a trade list started, if it hasn't disapeared,too!Several op tomatoes,and lots of flowers I am adding back to my list as I get them started.

I cannot in good conscience recommend planting ivy - too invasive a plant in too many locations (including SoCal). But there are are lots of groundcovers that will thrive under eucalyptus so you have a number to choose from. And I've attached a link from a California grower that has an extensive listing of plants compatible with eucs. but that leaf shows no damage from the bug that is on it ... does it???? except maybe some poop ... i do mind repeated questions .. that are the same as a post 3 down .. that is not cool ... if you arent keeping up.. why should i waste my time with giving the same answer over and over again ... and i hate the questions that are something like this" i want to propagate hosta.. please discuss the entire process from start to finish.. i mean really.. and while i am at it.. why dont i do your homework.. and carry you to school on my back.. and stay to spoon feed you lunch while i am at it ... you get stuck on something.. i will help.. but if you are too lazy to even do some basic research.. pshaw ... it would take me 2 months.. to clean my kitchen.. to be proud enough to show you a pick of it .. lol .. its very deep dark blue.. and it works.. because with the sliding door .... plus a window over the sink.. and south facing.. any other light color.. is nearly the Apocalypse .. you nearly needed a welding mask to go in there when the sun was out because its so bright ... ken

When I lived on the coast it was in a 40 acre euc forest. The trees were very messy and dangerous when the wind would blow. They were like giant matchsticks too! If you posted a picture of the ivy, it would be easier to identify. My experience with those trees were that the only vine that did well with them was poison oak!

Question 2 - Don't sweat that one. Just don't inhale mist if you spray the paint or inhale dust if you sand it later. Question 3 - Yes. Nonwashable paint won't fall off the wall if you wash it. The wall will get burnished where it's washed and shine a little, turning from flat to eggshell. There is a difference between "washable" and "scrubable". Question 1 - You can mix these but the color may not be halfway between the two. The further apart the colors are the more doubtful the outcome. My "general rule of off-whites" is 25% darker with 75% lighter gets you about halfway. I don't even try to mix darker colors. I hate to waste things but I'd rather waste the paint than the time it takes to do the job over as well as buying more paint anyway. If it were a rental that may be another story but in my house I want to know what goes on the walls in case I have to touch-up later. If you do mix make a sample and judge it after it dries.

Occasionally folks do have problems, but I'm not sure why and they are always resolved. If you are updating, and submitting, and still not seeing the 'new' info, you just likely need to clear your cache (delete history). I've known a few members who just absolutely could not get their profile or list updated, for some reason or other, but when I tried it for them, it worked fine. I figure it is maybe some conflict with their browser or something. Often after I update something for them, they then are able to proceed with other updates without any problems...

Feel free to drop me an email if you have further problems that aren't fixed by clearing your cache. Oftentimes using a different browser will work when another one won't.

It looks like you are getting all set up now though.

I took a look at your trade list's while it's handy.I've got to stop doing that!LOL I just discover that many more gorgeous things I've never seen!
