I'm gonna do it - working up the nerve

OK, so as some of you may know - it's official....I've got broilers. They are 2 weeks old now and there is absolutely no doubt about it. I'm going to cull them myself (I think I can, I think I can) and I've pretty much decided that I will break their necks, using the "stick to hold down their head while I pull on their feet" method. I just know in my heart that I absolutely cannot do the chopping block. For those of you that use this method, can you please give me some pointers. I assume it's a quick pull, or is it a slow and steady pull, or what? I need to do this as humanely as possible or I will be very upset. After the neck is broken, I understand that it would be best to put them in some sort of a cone (to prevent flapping) and then slit their jugular veins to bleed out. OK, so I think I can, I think I can....
