usc, I think you answered your own question. They don't compost, you don't want to pick them out of the finished compost, so you'll have to separate them in the kitchen and trash them. I do get a lot of peaches sprouting in the garden. We have peach trees and after peeling and pitting for canning, pies, jam etc. all the waste goes into the compost. Unforch, they are dwarf grafted trees so the sprouts would not likely make good trees anyway.

moss is wonderful- but you do have to keep leaves & such off of it, or it'll die back. Use a blower- raking tears it up. It can handle a decent amount of foot traffic. Keep it moist- it'll brown and go dormant if it gets too dry, but usually once it's moist again it just greens up super fast. There's a guy who just does moss who sells stuff in north hills shopping center. It's called moss and stone gardens. You could look them up and get lots of good advice.

And I have to point out that I left town for a wedding a couple years ago, and when I came back, my dear beloved boyfriend asked me if I knew that there was a cantelope vine "out there." I told him, yes I was aware of that because I had planted it but I was interested to know how he had come to discover this cantelope vine? Uh, I pulled it up Naturally. And was there a cantelope on the end of that vine you pulled up? Yes! Miraculous. And was it ripe? Um, I dunno. Really? Ok. You will eat it and you will like it because I grew it. And you will discover that if you leave my vines alone, you will get sweet cantelopes. For now, try salt on that green 'lope.
