What kinda vine would look nice here?

We are thinking of putting a vine climbing up a birdhouse on a tall poll with trellis attached at the second post on the post and rail white farm fence. We then plan on putting shrubs of some kind like red or pink knockouts or maybe crape mrytles/rose of sharon on either side of the birdhouse. We already have a bird house on a trellis in the back yard with Sweet Autumn climbing it. I wanted the same effect on the side yard. Do you think this would be too many birdhouse in the back yard? I like the idea of a focal point in the middle of side yard that is taller. Here is the area we want the birdhouse.

A couple clumps of variegated Iris and 3 clumps of a salvia or Veronica in your favorite blue or another nice purply blue would be Sea Lavender (limonium). Actually- lavender alone (3 or 4) would look really nice. I have several kinds of Intermedia and Angustifolia and frankly good old Hidcote is my favorite and most reliable. It's far easier to prune and even renovate and keep in a nice shape. The intermedias I have raised get big and eventually turn into ugly donuts and it is impossible to prune them enough to prevent it. HIW, it was solid, but I guess you could do it with spindles. I'm just wondering about comfort when you lean against the spindles. I also made a headboard for my DD's room with plywood and 2x4's. It was super easy (but this was much easier). Thanks everyone, especially for the feedback on the fabric. I did buy it for this room originally, but never got around to doing anything with it. I do have a vision of updating the room with a more up to date fabric (maybe a trellis or chevron). Any thoughts on where to move the floral pics? Maybe I'll start a new thread.

This one, and this one, below https://www.houzz.com/discussions/6028008/what-kind-of-artwork-would-look-good-here I'm showing your this because of the blacks/grays/whites tones, the pillows, and the art here are some examples. for this I would do a frame, but the neutrals tones work w/your sofa since you have the pink pillow, I gave you this one, but I'd prob have to switch out your table lamps. maybe bring in slightly diff pillows.

Well the clematis take so long to grow. The Sweet Autumn is fairly fast growing but other clematis is take 3 to 4 years. I like the idea of Zeph D. rose but she only blooms once mostly but might good nice with another vine!! I was thinking wisteria of some kind as there are some lesws invasive types out there but again just a thought..

The clematis you have used so far is much too large-growing for the support available which is why it now looks like a weeping pussy willow or other hummocky shrub rather than a vine. Likewise a wisteria would soon overwhelm a post and be all over the place; out here we have them filling up tall conifers and producing thick trunks of their own.

Look up representative mature sizes of various climbers and then choose one that is the right size for the job.

I kinda like the weeping look of that sweet autumn there. I do cut it back every year. I will have to take a photo of it in bloom very soon..Its really nice in bloom..

I was looking at some kinda focal point in the middle of the side yard. Thats why I thought birdhouse. Maybe I should think another arbor with a bench you can sit on with a climbing rose or vine as a focal point then bushes on either side of it. Im not sure yet. Here is a shot from our covered patio
