This year's flats of veggies had the usual little plastic label per flat, but this year's label text told me nothing but the name of the vegetable. And a picture of the veg. No spacing information, no planting depth advice. Just something like "wonderful for gourmet cooking!"
So I looked up spacing & depth advice on the internet. That's how I found out that cabbage seedlings need 18" between them. But I shouldn't have to do this! The seedling companies should suppy me with this information. And could easily tell me the mature height of the plant, if it vines, if it needs a limier soil, lots of water or only a little.
Next year I'm going to try a different garden center and choose plants by the information level that comes with them. But how can I tell the unidentified seedling companies that I (and I assume many of you) want more planting information on the labels?
