Do I have to treat soil of houseplants for insects?

I have about 30 houseplants that have to come indoors within days. I do spray the plants leaves for pests every year before I bring the in. But what about the soil?

Is there anything that we are suppose to do to treat the soil in case there is insects in the soil? Does anyone have any recomondations or does anyone have a certain practice they do that works. Do I water my plants with dish washing soap? Do I give them a drink of NEEM oil watered down. Is there an insecticide I should water into soil before I bring them in? Do I need to use a systemic? Please help asap. I don't want to take a chance bringing insects into my home via the soil. I feel pretty confident the plants themselves are pest free.

thanks alot
