powdry mildew on spinach - would you eat it?

Hi, My overwintered spinach has recently developed powdry mildew (looks like a light dusting of sugar on the underside of the leaves, and in bad cases (not what I have)the leaves begin to take on a yellowish tinge). When I wash the leaves it's all gone, so we've been eating it in salads. It tastes fine, but does anyone know of a reason why it wouldn't be good to eat?

Thanks.
