Growing Tomatoes Upside Down

We are growing tomatoes this year upside down. We started with one planter purchased for around 10.00. We are now using the black shopping bags from Wal-Mart. We start from seed and then transplant to the bags. As the plant grows taller, we add more soil. When the plant is ready to move outdoors, we take a second bag, and cut a hole in the bottom. We then slip the plant through the hole, placing a sponge around the stem. We slide the bag down over the first bag, turn it over and remove the first bag. We then hang the bag by the straps and drop a drip line in. Very low cost. The Wal-Mart bags are made from breathable material so the soil drains well.
