How much seed should I use?

I have planned 1/2 of my garden of 25'x80' in blocks of approx 32"x48". [2 rake widths x 3 rake widths]I have a 16" path between each 4' row and a 6" path between each 32" area.

Each block has a different vegetable or a combination as in onions, radish and carrots

The problem I am having is I just scattered the seeds and I think I planted too many. Do I have to kill to thin or can I move to another block?

How big should they be before I thin?

Does anyone plant wide rows? How much seed do you use per wide row?

All the seed info I can find is for the 100' single row.

I am trying several different varieties of each vegetable to see what grows best for me this year.

I am very excited about this garden and pray that it does as well in the end as it has started out. I have an abundance of radishes up and looking very well. And everything else I have planted so far is coming along except carrots, which doesnt surprise me. I have never been able to grow carrots.

I have enjoying reading all of the interesting discussions that come up on these forums. Thank you all for your help and expertise.
