HAVE: Daylily, Elephant Ears, Ivy, Monkey Grass

Plants I have to trade:

We just bought a house with lots of overgrown landscaping. I'm unsure of the exact variety but be sure I've got lots of anything I've listed below.

Common Monkey Grass

Orange Daylily...I have enough to resupply the world. I hate to throw them away so holler at me.

Lemon Mint

Elephant Ears

Ivy, Ivy and more Ivy

Plants I am looking for:

Any kind of Hosta

Any Herb

Any Fern that would grow well in Texas...stop laughing there's got to be a few!

Zinnas

Marigold

Any Annual

I would love a huge box of the orange daylily check my list and see if I have anything you would be interested in.. I ship priority with DC# so you dont worry about them dying or going missing...

I really really really want a nice colection of your orange daylily. I can use as many as you want to give me but Im not picky. Some monkey grass and some Ivy would be great also. Please look at my list, I know its small but Its all I got at the moment. If you cant find anything on the list you like then I would gladly send postage. Let me know.

Kat I think that elephant ear (at least one I grew few yrs. ago) may be too large for 8" opening. The leaves were over 2feet long. Really beautiful; I had it in large pot, diam. was 16". I watered it generously daily, and it just grew. But pot did have drainage hole. At the end of the season I collected the corm; it actually had "baby corms", so I had more for the next season. I just stored them for the winter(like canna or dahlias). They could grow quite tall, so that should be considered for your location. I would not grow it in stagnant water, even if they tolerate boggy conditions. They prefer semi-shade/shade, will do well in dappled sunlight. I would not grow them in full sun. Rina

I have a pond in partial shade. I have EE in a couple inches of water and also outside the pond and directly in the ground as well. Some in ground have failed to come back in spring. I move most of the pots into the garage for the winter and have brought others into the house for winter color. I put impatiens (and maybe coleus) in with the EE. Works in the pond and in the house later. My only concern with your narrow neck is that multiple plants would probably get stuck in there. Perhaps only one plant would be best. Dividing after a year or two is necessary and gives you a new supply. One year I got several complete round bulbus roots and other times just offshoots of amorphus shape.

Hi, I would love some monkey grass, elephant ears, and maybe a little lemon mint.
I have 2 or 3 small varigated hosta and some thyme. And please check my list to see if anything else catches your eye.

I would love your orange daylily. I just bought a new which had no landscaping other than a large bed of un-named hostas. I am trying to fill in the bare spots and thin out the hostas.

If you would like to trade for my hostas or postage please let me know. I don't have much else to offer.
