Have tree peony - special trade

I have one 2 yr old tree peony to trade

paeonia suffruticosa - Light Pink - fragrant, blossoms can

reach 10" across at maturity. Height 3-5 ft tall at maturity.

greetings have in spring peonies colors are mixed should be mostly heirloom that i got from a friends mom garden 50 to 75 year old plants i had for 5 yrs and divided last spring currently just want to trade for types of tall bamboo starts and of course not till spring temp of 11 on my way into work snow and blowing .. the peonies are special to me so only want to trade for something i really want which is bamboo.. Rian, The typical leafage for P. rockii is considerable smaller than for suffructicosas. The leaves have less palmation and the petiole for the leaflets within the complex leaves seems to be longer in respect to the leaves. They almost appear to have much stem for the leaves the plant has to work with. I also have the semi-double form of Joseph Rock. The leaves on that plant appear to be more similar to suffructicosa. The plants I have came from China and I got them through the HPS. It is surprising how different the plants are from each other in growth habit. Some appear to plan to be tall upright plants while others want to spread out. I have two of the taller type and I am trying my best to train them into a single trunk tree like some of the photos I have seen of P. rockii growing in the wild. Those plants were up toward 15 feet tall and take on something more of the look/form of our redbud trees. Rockii peonies have an interesting range of flower color. One of mine is a really nice lavender. In the wild the most prevalent colors seem to be in the light to midrange pink. How big were the rockii plants that you got from Gintas? Leon,

Hi, if you can tell me in good conscience that this one can make it in zone 9b --- I would have a 4 ft carambola (star fruit) tree (3 years old), 2 - 2 year old /2+ ft ish mango plants and stevia seeds if you are interested. Thank a ton!!!

Crabs, I'm sorry but a carambola is not hardy for my zone 4. It's really quite unusual though. Mangoes too, love 'em, but not hardy for us.
You'd have to research the peony for your zone. I'm not sure if peonies require a cold dormancy or not. Mine surely get it whether they want it or not - lol

Hi,
Are you interested in Hellebores [Lenton Rose]? I have a clump of adult plants to trade with.
This clump blooms a deep purplish - red the 1st week of Feb. here in zone 6b. Blooms fade to a pale pinkish. Note blooms remain for 2 to 3 months before turning into showy seed pods.
