Hi Seiko, I'm interested in trading for roses in the fall. In particular for Folksinger and Vineyard Song. I do have Mme. Legras de St. Germain potted up since spring. I can start rooting my roses for you now if you let me know which ones you are interested in.(I just started my rose rooting project for the year, lol) I also have a beautiful tuberous begonia that I have pics of. It could use a good home for the winter. I think I could find my geranium daffs. I know I could find a few of my Festival Blue Hyacinths. We could probably figure other things you would like also. There are always folks who want something for nothing. I have been promised postage previously, but it never came, and I also got my name slurred after giving gifts to newbies. I will not trade unless the person wants to come here, and then if I have excess of what they want, then I will certainly share. I, for one, will not ship anymore in hopes of getting shipping costs. Sorry for that vent, but having been taken advantage of previously several times, and trying to make a pension spread far enough, I won't have anything to do with it. I even had a person begging for material, and I felt sorry for them, and then I heard rumours that they were selling the items that I gave them. That can't be verified, but I have my suspicions, and it somewhat angers me. Furthermore, there is the issue of cross-border shipping. OMG.... $$$

bean starter, I agree that leaving them in the pot can be a simple successful way of wintering them over. I thought however I should mention that not everyoneÂs basement or garage is the same. My basement for example has an oil burner that tends to keep it rather warm (high 60s) and damp, I have repeatedly been unsuccessful over wintering tubers as they want cool (50Âs), dry, and dark. Cloud9 made a suggestion about using a picnic cooler for winter storage which I am going to try on the steps of my bulkhead area. I would suggest that you be open to experimenting and fingers crossed youÂll meet your tubers requirements this winter. Katy
