If the broken parts show any signs of having growth nubs on them, then you can plant them and the nubs will develop rhizomes that will in time bloom. Hmmm - Very possible . . . if they are, can I move them to a different location or is it a bad time? They are growing in between other plants And look terrible! But I also want them to thrive and they seem so happy. Tough gardening decisions!
