Did I Jump the gun on summer bulbs????

yesterday, I planted callas, gladiolus, sparaxis and asiatic lilies in large containers in my garage. The garage is insulated, and stays well above 0 degrees C. It's still cool enough to keep the growth slow, however. I was counting on this, as I didn't want them growing too fast, but still wanted to get them developing root systems now and hopefully sprouting by the time it's warm enough to put them outside.

I left some room at the top of the containers so I can pile on more soil if need be.

Was this a mistake? Are these things going to be too big too soon, or should they grow slow enough so that by the time they need sun, it will be warm enough?

Anybody else starting planters in southern Alberta?

Worse comes to worse, I guess I'll be dragging them out for the daytime, and back inside for the night. Sigh.
