Meyermike, why don't you just purchase a smallish Calamondin, do some root pruning, put it into a bonsai pot, do some pruning of the foliage and voila, you have a bonsai calamondin. Ebay is probably a good source of the plant and most of the citrus there will tend to be on the smaller side. Believe me, it is REALLY easy (and fun) to create your own bonsai. The Net is a good source if you need more specific on the technique are art of bonsai. PS., I can't say I have ever seen a bonai citrus plant come to think of it (despite seeing all variety of citrus trees in NYC's Chinatown). Good luck!

The reason why I asked is because I remember seeing them sold at a local Bonsai nursery and they were cute.
There is a very helpful member here on the fragrant forum that has always wanted one of these.
When I went to get one, they were sold out. So I surfed the net for one and they were so expensive. I figured some one here might of known a place to get them that would of found them less expensive.
Your idea is a great one. I am going to order a cutting fron Logees asap, plant it, or send the basic to start one so that member will he happy.

I have a calimondin in a 10" regular pot with 100% profile for soil. Its been in that pot for about 3 years now and I get 2-3 huge fruit crops a year. I sugest that you do not get a too small of a pot as citrus are difficult to bonsai in a traditional 'bonsai' pot.
